Bought the 426 and now I am about to throw in the towel. I purchased all new parts, head, valves, piston, cylinder, and the crank was brand new when the motor blew up and ate the top end, I thought it was good but look at the attached http://www.turboimag...IM4712.JPG.html

looks like the small end is a bit cocked. didint like goinging the the cylinder very well. What do you sugest, new crank or just rebuild the crank? Know anyone good to rebuild the crank?

New is better. By the time you add up the parts and the labor for the press work and alignment, it's nearly the same. With the new crank, you get the benefit of a new timing gear, too.

You may want to think about a used engine.
