Hey Guys-

I'm getting ready to regrease the linkage on my '05. Is it as simple as putting it on a stand and removing the two bolts? Do I need to take off the subframe and rear shock?

Two bolts to remove dog bone link.
Three bolts to remove relay arm.
Subframe and rear shock do not need removed.

It's a good time to remove the subframe, airbox and such to clean everything up.
Make sure to pack plenty of grease into the bearings and spaces between. Also, you might want to clean and grease the kickstand, rear brake pedal pivot, and kick starter.

Hey Jesse-

I agree with you. Just got finished with all that stuff, and didn't want to pull it again. Wife had a baby, so I stopped riding for a couple months - so I did most of my maintenance/lubing.

I've never done the linkage, and it's way over due.
