How wide of a rear tire can you go before it scrubs the muffler? 110-100 is stock. 120-90 and 130-80 are right at the same hight tire but one is 10mm wider and the other is 20mm wider.

I had a 150 on the back of mine it just hit so I shimmed the pipe out. I'm running a 160 right now it hits I need to do a little reworking on my pipe to make it clear now . I can't see that a 130 knobbie would hit . I have a 130 knobbie on my crf250x it clears fine

How do you guys like those big tires? I have always run the 110's and 100's and they have felt nice and nimble when cornering. Do the big tires get clunky or heavy?

I'm wanting to go wider hoping it will corner better. There's no "railing corners" in Kentucky unless you are on a track. Where I ride, it will go from mud to pretty much concrete. The more knob on the ground, the better.

Thanks for the input everybody.

The way you size the tire is mm wide/% of width off the rim/wheel size.
a 110/100/18 is 110 mm wide/110 mm off the rim/18 inch rim

A 120/100/18 is 120mm off the rim to the top if the tire. It will set you 10mm higher.

lol, i know how tires are measured, but thanks for explaining it, however those guys said they were running 150 and 160's never said if they were /100% 's or what so i wasn't sure, could have been /80% tires too and they wold not be any higher then. and i heard some tires are measured differently in europe then here in North America also.
