Gas mileage per miles/kilometers?

Recommended Posts

Hey there,

What gas mileage do you guys get on your bikes and dont tell me how many miles you get on your gastank because everybody have different sizes of gastanks and it does'nt tell me something.

How many litres per mile or kilometers is more interesting for tuning/jetting.

Ok, recounted 0,56litres/10 km, not bad at all, guess the streetwheels makes big diff, but I did'nt believe this much:applause:

Oops.

Mine is all trail riding working it pretty hard. so that might make up for the difference between Tweav and myself...

I average about 75 mph . on my back road rides to work I hit 101 on the one straight away . I'm not really sure if Wide Open Throttle all the way falls into the ez riding catagory. I Lose about 15 miles on a tank If I'm thrashing on the atv trails .But that still works out to 37.77 miles per gallon . I have my wr jetted leaner then what I read most poeple have theirs , But that is what the dyno said , And I'll tell you it does run good. But of course It does not have enough power for my taste.

I ride exclusively single track, off-road, mountain trails and seem to be averaging 10 km's per litre on my WR 450, it was the same on my WR 426 and on the WR250 (2 stroke) before that. WR Dave.

'04 WR450-

48 Miles per gallon 80% dirt/ 20% street

Worst I've seen is 35 mpg doing tight single track and hill climbs.

Stock motor with all free mods and YZ exhaust. One of my riding buddies has a WR450 also and gets closer to 30 mpg. It comes down to riding style and throttle use. These bikes can be ridden fast without using high revs. Time to ride...

I been trying to ride as economical as possible on those long trips but never got under 0,75 litre per 10km.

It's a bit to fat jetted though.

Must try to find a bigger gastank but the real big ones seems to be a bit fragile.
