Hey I have wanted a YZ450f for a while and am thinking about trading in, or trading someone for, my 07 KX450f. Anyone in here go from a Kawi 450 to a YZF? Pros? Cons? Anyone with any information or ideas, chime in! Thanks!

I've spent quite a bit of time on the 07 and 08 kx450f and the 07 and 08 yz450f.

the 07 kx hits harder than all which is not necessarily a good thing.

the 08 yz turns considerably better than all the bikes mentioned.

the 07 and 08 yz motors are a lot easier to ride longer and harder than the 07 kx and a tad easier than the 08kx; I felt the 08 kx got the best traction and hook up, but the 08yz was right there.

best overall suspension is the 08 yz. I'd rank the 07yz and 08kx pretty darn close.

if it was me, i would jump at an 07 kx to 08 yz, but an 07 kx to an 07 yz would be a little more difficult to complete, but it would not be a backwards step.
