450 starter button

07 wr 450 whatever little piece metal thats inside the button has disappered is there anything i can do without buying the whole thing which is 70$ at my local shop

you can use your stop button . I think it plugs right in . or you could make the piece for in the one you have , just copy the one in your stop button.

I assume you mean the starter pushbutton and not the ignition switch assy. If so you need to find a new dealer! Try Zanotti or the TT store. $17.39 at Zanotti. Yamaha part #5UM-83976-F1-00.

Don't buy another Yamaha push button, they are notorious for falling apart. Look for a generic Normally-Open push-button switch online and splice it into your original switch's wires.
