I have been riding motorcycles for about a year now, and about 3 days a week at that, minus the winter's... But i've become pretty good at basic trail riding and shit. But what i'm trying to learn, is throttle blip's and stuff for getting the front up and staying up, as well as hill's, and logs... But I can't get the hang of really working the clutch as much on the trails aswell as paying attencion to balance!

any help I would apprieciate. I'm running an older Montesa Coda 175cc and very happy with the throttle response and that it comes up in 3ed and 4th gear with ease, but i'm confused that my 1st and second gear feel the exact same... i don't get it.....

hi, and shit 2nd gear is the gear you will be in the most and stuff in sections, and blipping over logs and rocks and shit you really dont need a lot of clutch and stuff, unless after you hop a log and theres an immediate turn and you need to slow down and set up and shit.practice that and stuff ride in a straight line pull in the clutch ,brake to a stop for a second do a tite turn releasing the clutch slowly, and adjust your perch so your lever can be operated with 1 or 2 fingers so you still have grip on the bar,oh...and stuff, hey just messin with you on the stuff, and shits, worry about the basics first

I figured 2nd and 3ed would be my friends, i own Ryan Young's Advanced Trials techniques, as well as the basic ones but the basic one is so old on VHS it does not work anymore... I'm going to be on the bike tomorow i think, maybe a little tonight, but This summer is going to be my first in sections... What gives me an advantage i guess is that im a small guy, but I'm pretty much ripped lol, so i can finesse the bike allot...

Thanks man, i'm trying to get ANY help...

Also, can I do most of the things these guys do on new gas-gas's and sherco's on my older montesa with enough practice?
