i should also add that besides the battery being sealed,if the battery is purchased from me i fully charge the battery on my christie battery charger.i will also load test the battery with my honda load tester.

this insures you have a 100% battery.

Wow, that's a great upgrade mod Eddie!

I'll have to remember it, for sure I'm in when it's time for a new battery. The 03 S I just bought has a new batt, so I'll run with it for a couple years probly.

Would you stop giving me a reason to do the 470.  Starting was one of the issues that had continued to bother me.

Now you have that solved.  Just send an engine and a bucket of money?

Wow! Eddie is the man!  I wish I had techs in my area that cared this much about making things work right. Once my battery dies I'll be sure to order the kit.

Two years of constant battery tender and my original is still going strong... and now that I've said that, I'll probably have a dead battery when I go to start the bike.

how the battery is put into service is really key to the life of a battery.

Is the battery tender's voltage ok for the initial charge when the bat is first filled?

no,a battery tender is not a real battery charger.

Then I will be getting one of those in the near future, I got my $35 el cheapo last year....

So do you have some kind of harness for the free power mod and a battery tender so I don't have 1/2 inch of cables handing off my battery?

As my battery is going once, going twice (after less than a year, mind you ) I'm definitely going to check into this. PM is about to come your way.

Ya, I just bought a damn battery this spring too.  The first one only lasted 3/4 of a season and 750 miles.  I was pissed.  Looks like a good mod for a weakness of the DRZ.  I came close to ordering a kicker kit just for the hell of it.

I will send you a pm, but for the benefit of overseas members, will you send just the kit minus the battery to Greece?
The shipping for the battery will probably be more than the actual cost od the battery...

This sounds like the better way to deal with big bore starts and lack of compression release.

I just got a fresh Yuasa stock replacement and mine starts like a champ.  When this battery gets weak...i'll go this method.

Great work once again Eddie.
