Clutch lever wire switch thing?

Hello,

I broke the switch / wire thing that lives in the clutch lever / hot start lever bar clamp.

Do anybody know what it does and do i actually need it? I cant find any info in the manual!!!!!!!!!!!

It prevents you from starting the bike in gear UNLESS the clutch lever is pulled in. You can do away with it entirely with the only drawback being the bike will have to be in neutral to start. The way around this is to jumper the plug the wire from the clutch perch switch goes into behind the headlight. Use a female spade connector of the right size. A word of caution: if you stab the starter with the bike in gear it's gonna lurch!

Looks like this may have been broken since before i owned the bike then as its only ever started in netural. I only noticed the damaged wiring when changing the clutch cable.

I will fix the wiring and hopefully all sorted.
