Is it or isn't it normal to hear more motor noise after switching the timing from wr to yz?

what kind of motor noise are you talking about?
"noise" is a bit vague.

I made the same post after switching to YZ timing. It sounds to me to be the carb slide rattling. It goes away when you give it a little gas. I believe the motor is sucking more air w/the YZ timing.
