Hello everyone.
Does anyone know where i could find a piston for a 1993 TS 200. It has to be 67 mm in diameter.
Regards
P.S already tried the shop in Vancouver. They can't help.

It's 195cc 2t.
There was oil injection, but i dont like it, so now i'm pre-mixing it.
It weights about 231lbs without gas and oil.
The front suspension is 41mm USD with compression and rebound regulation.
This small engine generate about
37 hp and about 3,1 kg-m.
It's really nice motorcycle

Bah! You guys get the best bikes! :ride:

It looks like a really cool bike already! :ride:

This site claims to have ts200R parts. I haven't ordered from them so I can't comment on their ability to get parts.

I'm making the big bore change described in this thread to my bike now. I got a used ZRT cylinder and the piston that came with it looked very close to the bike's original piston. That might be an option. I think I still have the piston around somewhere. I can take some measurements if you need them. You can buy new ZRT pistons from online dealers or eBay. I suspect that any shop that deals in snowmobile parts will be able to get one for you as well.

Do you still have the old piston?  The reason I'm asking is because the mid '90's RM250's used a 67.0mm piston so it's possible that a piston from that era could replace your piston.

Just be sure to check the pin diameter and the skirt and dome height.  I think I've got a junk piston ('90 RM250) from that era if you want to compare it.  If it looks the same then just order a new one just like it and you'll be back in business.

Or just go to a dealership and see if they have some that you could compare with.  Heck Wiesco might even have a listing for it and then you'll know what years will work.

I'm glad to see this thread still going! The more information the better. It always makes me wonder how many of these bikes are sitting around under a layer of dust just because the owner couldn't find parts.

I ended seizing my big bore due to a lean top end (totally my fault:bonk:) but it will be up an running again for this riding season. The big bore BTW is awesome with the 35mm carb! Difference is night and day. One of the guys I ride with couldn't believe that is was actually doing 4th gear wheelies with just a simple tug of the bars.
It's now my wife's bike as I purchased a KLX400R.....but every now and then, I get the urge for the 2 stroke power delivery and I'll swing a leg over the TS.

Let's see some more pics!!!!

Thank you so much for your reply.
I do have an old piston and all the parts for it, but i don't have the bike around to take the meassurment right now.
Hopefully i'll be able to get to it this weekend.
I would appreciate very much your help.
If you could take all the meassurments of your piston ( diameter, height, and Pin size)

Thanks for the offer DSRW......I did however purchase one a while back.
One thing I'd like to find is a proper carb/reed block boot that would properly fit the 35mm carb. The original one cracked from expansion due to the bigger O.D of the carb so I had to modify one. It works good but I would feel safer having with a brand new one on there.

The stock sized ZRT piston ('96 to ???) will work as long as you have the stock bore size of coarse. Same diameter, wrist pin size, etc. You may have to modify the intake side of the piston skirt a little......I can't quite remember (it's been a while and I have lots of projects on the go!:ride:). Just compare the ZRT and the stock piston together, in hand, and it will tell you the answer.

P.S - Just don't forget the wristpin bearing spacers that go on each side of the wrist pin bearing on installation........I seen the results first hand of these spacers being left out and it wasn't a good sight to say the least!!

"CC's" are a combination of stroke length and bore size which equals cubic centimeters (cc). There's more to it than just the diameter of the cylinder bore. That's why you see stroker kits offered for some machines to achieve more cc's. We are fortunate that the ZRT600 uses the same bore and stroke (and similar design) as the TS200 that's why we can use the pistons. If you're confused about the ZRT 600 engine size.....it's simple. It has 3 198 cc's cylinders......3 x 198cc = 594cc.

Hi there!  I recently got a 1992 ts200rm I was hoping you guys doing rebuilds could point me to a website where I can order engine parts for it in the US.  My local spots don't have the ability to order any parts and I am needing cylinder gasket, head gasket, and a rod for it.  Thanks a bunch!

They are going to be a Suzuki only item. Try this link........just type in your model in the top right hand box and it will give you all the models of the TS200. From there you can get the part numbers for the items needed.....give the part numbers to your Suzuki dealer because chances are, if you just ask them for parts for a TS200R their going to tell there is no such beast! Been there done that.

Thanks alot HARV!  I was afraid the thread might be dead!  Thanks for the advice on getting parts.  I picked this bike up in a trade that literally cost me $0 USD so you can imagine how excited I am.  Unfortunately when I got it the jug needed to be bored to fit a new piston (which the bike came with) after paying to have it machined I found I was missing some very key parts like the wrist pin and gaskets :smirk: However besides that the bike is in amazing shape and its nice to have picked up such a cool and rare japanese bike without dishing out mounds of cash!  I will try to get some pics up as I make the mad dash to get this repaired before August 21st for my off-road camping trip!

It appears I spoke too soon!  I cannot read French!  I can look at the pictures on that site and give a list of parts I need but I can't see where it gives part numbers to reference when talking to a suzuki dealer.  If I look through and give you (because im guessing you can read French) would you be able to give back part reference numbers for me to call the dealer with?

Sorry about that.....I may have given you the wrong link. I can't speak french but I can usually figure it out. I'll try to find the site that I used before. It had the fiche with the part numbers. Worked great.........give the part number to the dealer.........no story on how you're an idiot and you don't even know what model of bike you ride!:smirk: As for the wrist pin, the ZRT pin and clips will work......if the piston is aftermarket, you may need to use the circlips from that specific piston.

Cool, I appreciate it!  I did happen to find a shop in Ontario that when I called them they knew exactly what I need and should be shipping them over night to me in a couple days.  If anyone else would like the number for this shop let me know and I will find it and post it for you!

Real interested by the ZRT mods. I have just purchased a ts200r 1991, Does anyone know of any other bikes that share a similar engine or should I just go for the ZRT cylinder and piston? Also, about the KDX carb, does it have to be a 1989 or a 1995 will do ? And did anyone find a better fitting rubber boot for the kdx carb? Thanks mates.
