how to open closed front brake caliper

i took my rims off to get new tires put on and accidentally hit my brake lever. how do i open the caliper back up.... the piston closed the pads together and i dont know how to open... do i have to bleed the brakes?

Choose a large screwdriver and place between the backing plates of the two pads. Twist to push the pads apart a little, then get the blade between the pads themselves and push the piston back. Be sure to pump the piston back down when the wheel is back in place so you don't get a surprise the next time you grab the brake.
