Hopefully these maps will work for you folks.

Here are the basic directions:

From Kramer Junction, go north on Hwy 395.

Fremont Peak Rd is approx. 14 miles north of Kramer Junction.

Turn right on Fremont Peak Rd. It is a dirt road heading east towards the mountains.

After about 3.8 miles of dirt road, you will come to an obvious fork in the road that goes to the left. Do not turn left here.

Continue straight towards the mountains (the road will narrow a little).

The camp site will be approx. 1.3 miles past the fork, and about 5.2 miles since you left Hwy 395.

This is what you guys want to look for on the east side of Hwy 395 once you get about 14 miles north of Kramer Jct.

The sign may not be exactly like this, but similar.

It's really not that hard to find, unless you are trying to find it at night. Fremont peak is quite distinct and the road that you turn on to from the 395 points right at it.

Of course I've been going there for over 20 years so I can find it in my sleep. YMMV.

Do you know the aproximate mileage from 20 mule team rd to fremont peak road.

One beer? Two beers?

close enough that your nappy headed nevada crew should open your eyes and start looking to the left and find the damn TT sign on the post!!!!!!

I like the satelite images best, wanted to add there is a pole there with a diagonal sign to designate gas lines and thats where the TT board is, its white and about 1 1/2 wide and about 12inches tall with "TT" painted on it. Its right below the sing on the post about 8ft up the post. I cant find a pic of the sign but its at a diagonal with red and white if i remember right, kinda like a back slash \

I believe this is the gas marker sign you are talkin' 'bout.

Howdy all. Been busy. Haven't been on TT in a while.

Okay. Now, that I know where the camp will be, I would need to know when this is all gonna take place. I'm assuming this whole gig will be held on a weekend, the 12th and the 13th or the 19th and the 20th???

Hey Denn, check this out.

I mocked up a sign based on the description you gave me of the one you and Agent2 put up on Friday. Is this close?

Let me know if it's wrong 'cause I added this to my post with maps at the beginning of this thread.

Splooge, that is so accurate, it's scary. You psychic or something?

Me and Denn almost got in a fistfight in regards to which way the sign should face, I wanted north, he wanted south, settled on west...

Yes, that photo is facing south, high tension lines will be on your right. The turn off is about 4.8 miles past 20 Mule Team. It's a popular road for off roaders, so there is usually a bunch of marker ribbons, old signs, etc. at the turn off.

LEFT TURN CLYDE........thats what youll be doing when you see that sign. Passerger seats are preferred cuz if your on the drivers side someone is getting knocked the F out when Martin yells "left turn clyde!!" and throws out the straight left LOL

Where is this ride? In what state? Are we camping? Do I need a tent? If so what should I bring? Where am I going to sleep? Where are we riding to? What kind of bikes are going to be there? Can I bring my Dog? Is there going to be food or do I need to bring my own? Will there be fuel at the camp? Electricity? Is this ride in May or June? Can I ride my Moped? Is there going to be restrooms? Are they clean? How much does this cost? Who is Denn anyways? Should I bring firewood?

If you have to ask any of these questions then here are the answers.

Where is the ride? The ride is in Ramrod Texas.

What state is it in? New York!

Are we camping? Yes, we are all going to sleep in Denn's Motor Home.

Do I need a tent? NO!

What should I bring? A Bible, you will have plenty of time to read it.

Where am I going to sleep? With Denn and everyone else that is sleeping with Denn.

Where are we going to ride? There will be no we, if you have to ask these questions.

What kind of bike will be there. This is a Honda big bore XR bike thread.....I don't know what kinda bike do you think will be there?

Can I bring my Dog? I heard someone is bringing a cat? But, in the end I think it is up to Denn if he wants a dog sleeping with everyone in his Motor home.

Do I need to bring food? WE will be parked right next to a super WalMart so, you can run over there and buy all the stuff you need at anytime.

Is there fuel at the camping spot? Across the street the is an Am-PM to get fuel.

Electricity? Yes, 500,000 volts right out buy the 395!

When is this ride? For you anytime but, April 3~5, 2008.

Can I ride my moped? Only if it is Pink.

Is there going to be restrooms? The only restroom will be in Denn's Motor Home.

Are they clean? There was a picture in the other thread of the two seeted restroom in denn's motor home. You decide if that is clean.

outhouse.jpg

How Much does it cost? If you actualy find us you will have to pay each other camper $40 to tell you how to get back home.

Who is Denn anyways? He is the man that is more loving then your mother.

Do I need to bring firewood? No, because where you are going it will be hot enough.
