Sorry...the only reason the bike is clean is because I just bought it off some one who built it for trail riding and never used it, that's why I took some pics before I get it in the trails, it's clean no more!!
The trails here are extremely hard on equipment.

Such as 1) What wattage bulb are you running, 35w or 55w halogen? 2) How much does the light dim at idle? 3) How effective is the light output? Is the general output just enough to limp you back to camp in the dark or is it half way decent enough to ride at night under moderate speeds?

For max light a DC regulator and a decent battery would allow for a HID setup. That would give enough light for real night riding. A 35 or 45 watt halogen is really only good for limp home to camp mode.

Heeyyy cleanard! What are you doing over hear? I myself have a 2002 CR250 as well as my 650R.
Yeah I was wondering about this. I know the lighting coils are rated for around 60w but that they are really not putting that much out unless revved up pretty good. I wanted to hear what his experience was with whatever bulb he has using.
High output LED lightbars are out now but are REALLY pricey. It will be cool when high output LED lights are finally produced by more companies and hence more competitively priced. It will be nice to see someone come out with retrofit high output LED lights that would fit standard lamps like the Baja Designs dual sport cowl, if possible and Soltek type Baja lamps for low wattage draw with big output. It would definitely help on bikes with stator/coil output limits. Maybe this is just a dream but you never know.

BAJA DESIGNS now makes a likt called the Squadron, which is a (6) light LED that puts out 3600 lumens. It uses 44 watts. Contact them for additional info.
THIS may be the ticket if we can find a stator.
