1)

Does anyone Know,
how the Small end and Big end
of the piston Rod,
of the XR650R,
get Lubrication?

Ideas from my Hot Rod and Car Craft days.

2)

Drilling a Hole,
at the Top of the Small end.

3)

drilling a Hole/ Slot,
under the Oil control ring,
and then to the piston pin Bore
so oil will flow to Lube the Piston Pin.

4)

Drill a vertical Hole,
on the left and right side of the Rod,
where the Web of the Beam,
meets the Top of the Big end,
so that when the Rod goes up,
Inertia, forces the Oil into the Hole,
which leads to the big end Bearing,
and Crankshaft.

5)

Countersink the hole,
to gather more Oil.

Does Anyone have other Ideas,
for making the Lubrication System better?

All good ideas but.. Hondas rods are designed well yet not overbuilt so i would be a reluctant to remove any metal off. But the pin idea has me a think'n:thinking:
I'll just keep my oil changed and let someone else try it.
