I stripped it down only to find the frame needed replacing...

Now replaced with a WR426 frame etc.
Still waiting on parts but it should come up good in the end.

My old 2000 wr400. It was pretty fun. I had boat loads of carbon fiber on that bike.

Here's mine '99 400. Have it for 10 years. Since then, replaced piston, con rod, counterbalancer shaft, 2 gears, and all bearings inside engine.

Pretty modded, not all pics show the listed mods.

 

'01 400 frame, black powdercoated, incl swingarm

alu 426 subframe

universal clamps

48 WP twin chamber forks - still struggling to make them initially plush for small sharp bumps

aftermarket WP shock

yz seat & tank

hotcams exhaust cam

akrapovic silencer

13/50 gearing

chinese bigger radiators

qute a few wheel sets

yz 450 style integrated rear master cylinder
