Need an '07 WR450 pipe ASAP!

Recommended Posts

I did the free exhaust mod to my WR250 and my buddy liked it and asked me to do his pipe. When I tried to do his that damn back piece wouldn't come out so I totally F'd up the pipe. If anyone has a stock pipe leftover PM me with a price and I'll need it overnight delivered. Thanks in advance for any help. It's an '07 WR450.

If you try to do it again take a ratchet strap and pull the ratchet end off and set aside. Take the other end and hook it behind that back piece outside (closer to the can) one of the SA holes where its reinforced more. Get yourself a framing hammer and wrap the strap through the claw a couple times and around the hammer neck about 2-3 ft back. Pull tension with your hand just enough to keep the hook located where you want it and give a couple feet of slack between the hammer and your hand. Swing through and away from the exhaust end letting the strap slide through your hand when it decides to. Oh and before you start swinging away try taking a knife and sorta poke between the can and the end seat while spraying with WD40 in several places around the way. Clean up with a rag (eliminate splatter) and take a few rips at it....only took me three...and pop...out she came:thumbsup:

I might be interested in the F'd up pipe if it's not to mangled. Did you make it square from a vise or is it still oval? I have an experiment in mind and maybe a few duckets for it would ease you're pain.

The pipe that connects to the header has vice marks on it, and the end of the can is bent and torn around the bolt holes that hold the end cap on. The piece that the insert/spark arrestor bolt to is completely destoyed (I threw it away). If you want it just pay for shipping and you can have it.
