confusing wire on clutch of WR450F

I just put a set of new ASV levers on my WR450, and I noticed there is this confusing wire that sticks out on the clutch side with no apparent purpose. Anyone know what it is???

i've started the bike in gear and everything... i guess mine doesn't work lol
