does anybody know of a rear axle adjuster for an 2004 L that is more secure than stock?

More secure than the snail adjuster? Is yours coming loose?

if yours has problems its only cuz you didnt tighten the axle enough and with a loose axle you have more problems to worry about. Theres really nothing wrong with the chain adjuster on the L.

If the axle is in 'backwards' when you tighten the nut, it loosens the snail adjuster (turns it easily towards a looser setting).

Is that what's happening?
