Where is the oil filter???

OK, call me a idiot, but I cant find the oil filter location on my 06 650L. I just got the bike last week and decided to change all the fluids. Please help!!

It is behind the plate on the right side of the engine. It has three bolts.

Do a search on here for the PDF version of the service manual.

You see the small round cover in the top part of the case, just below the cylinder. 3 bolts. Filter goes in one way only.

Thanks folks, I found it a few minutes after i posted up. I just decided to take start unscrewing things and it happened to be the first thing i tried. LOL.

Make sure you put the cover back on the same way - - the holes on the inside need to match up. There are marks on the outside edge that should line up so you are sure.

This is kind of important.

Well, the bolt holes only line up kind of one way...

Oh hell no! I'm waiting for the last poss. minute to install my new MT21's, tubes, chain and sprockets AND rimlocks!

The tires on it now are a work in progress.... MT21 sumo tires!lol
