Auto decomp plug

I'm trying to find an after market billet auto decomp plug. The only ones I'm finding are on Ebay and they say they are for YFZ YZ 436 450 etc... YFZ's are 4 wheelers right? Also if you look at these parts closely they aren't all shaped alike. Will the part fit my '99 wr400? Here's a few examples:

The second link is to a plug that uses the OEM shaft seal, or one similar to it. The rest of them link to plugs that depend on an O-ring. Either type should work if made properly, and yes, the one for an '03-'05 YFZ will fit the 400.

Fairly obvious question but I'll go ahead and ask it anyway just to be sure.

When I ordered my 450 cam and new timing chain I also went ahead and ordered a new seal where the decomp lever went. So I guess to take advantage of that new seal I bought, I should order the plug int the second link that uses the OEM shaft seal correct?

Maybe. I am assuming the OEM seal will work, because in that design, as with the OEM shaft, the shaft of the plug is the same size from the locking groove to the end. It seems a very safe assumption, and it also appears that the plug comes with a seal in any case.

i ordered a decomp plug recently off of ebay and it fit perfectly.take the stock plug out and the screw on the side,slide the new plug in ,put the screw back in and bingo your done.took me about three minutes.?

Get the one in the second link. It uses the factory oem Yamaha seal. The other ones seem to use a cheap o-ring instead. The TT store use to sell the exact same ones, but unfortunately no longer does.

Would the second link decompression plug work for an '04 yz250f dirtbike. The OEM plug pops out. I tried asking this guy a guestion, but no respond.

Ya know I was looking at the place where the plug goes... I have a '99 wr400. I think the setup is different. My cable goes to a linkage on the outside of the engine. (It's just a little lever). If I just unhook the cable from the lever, no worries. It's still plugged up and there is just a little lever left there.

As long as the spring stays on the lever, it's OK.
