SERIOUSLY

I WANT SERIOUS ANSWERS

1040 Yamalube every 600 miles if I get lucky. Bumped 1100 once. Oil filter (OEM) every 3rd change. Air filter cleaned if it needs it. As a matter of fact I am still running the one replacement filter that I bought early on and I cannot even give myself a clue as to who makes it...and I am looking at it now:excuseme: . Have been riding daily and catching off routes along the way since 2005 with the only failure to date being a melted can (OEM) connection at the header end which subsequently melted a bit of my rear fender. Other than that though..I am still thumpin:thumbsup:

yamalube after every 3 rides. my rides are an average of 50-75 miles so maybe after every 225 miles or so. New yamaha oil filter at every oil change or K&N oil filter after every other oil change. I do my best to keep the R's down and get a longer life out of my engine. ?:D:ride:

Motul 5100 (semi-synthetic) 15w50. Costs me about $8.00 a quart. Changed every 100-200 miles. Filter change every other time.

I know this is overkill and I would be just fine with Rotella T or something else similarly priced, but a couple times a year I need to put 400 miles or so between oil changes in Baja, and using the best oil I can buy and changing it frequently stateside gives me piece of mind, if nothing else. Additionally, I need my bikes to last 3-4 years, at least, and again, I would prefer to pay more for oil to preserve my confidence that my bike will last that long.

Rotella T 15W40

Scotts Stainless oil filter cleaned at every oil change

Oil changed after every trip to the dez. Doesn't matter if it's one day or 3, she gets "serviced". Most desert days are 100 miles or less...

Twin Air air filter cleaned after every trip also. If it's really dusty or we've ridnen a bunch in a day, I may change it before riding the next day.

I use any good 10-40 I have in the garage at the time and and change it almost every ride and the filter every 3rd time, I know this is a bit much, but I feel better about riding the thing hard as I like and not worying about the motor cause I change oil so often, *** it's only a quart anyway

?

Rotella with Scott stainless filter. I change oil after every 2-3 rides depending on the intensity of the enviroment and the ride. More than getting dirty, oil shears and loses its viscosity in MX/Enduro bikes. Oil is suppose to get dirty. It suspends the dirt and carbon particles making it look dirty. Its not expensive to change oil when using Rotella and a reusable filter. Rekluse recommends Rotella. I hit the filter after every ride.
