I am relaxed.

I am not ? , I am :ride: ? over displays of motorcycle stupidity in public. It ruins our reputation, and ability to keep riding areas from being closed. I am very serious about this issue, and will continue to rant about this type of behavior, for all of our benefit, I hope. Deep Breath.

I left bad gas and I am letting everyone know. It won't mater, I don't have enough fuel myself to even dent your fuel but, by far this attidude is worse then some guy abusing his bike. I am sick of the PC guys desiding what is exceptable and what is not. All I see is a video of someone wanting to see what the bike can do. Even if they ran it off the roof, that is all I would see is someone seeing if they could do it but, some don't see freedom as a good thing......It's hard to understand what makes dirt bike riders look bad.....maybe riding their bikes in the dirt? Or anything that you won't/can't do?.....People hate dirt bike riders, they don't have to have any reason other then they see a dirt bike riding in the dirt.........I have a mother in law that says they should make it so dirt bikes can't be sold because they are dangerous......getting old must suck:p

Whoa, everybody calm down. The only reason I posted it is because I was surfing youtube and came across this vid and when I checked out the username (billahjack) thought it just might happen to be the same billahjack that's a member of TT. I don't know if that's him or not, but if that's you billahjack then your busted.

Who know's what's going on in this vid??? Maybe he's finishing off a rear tire that needs replacing anyhow?? Either way it doesn't really matter. It was meant in good humor. It's practically in his own driveway. I don't really see this as the same as a group of quads and unplated bikes rolling down the sidewalks and through the middle of the city.

I wasn't really hoping to spark a debate...just a little good fun.

C'mon Krannie, I see you have some plated dirtbikes. Are you trying to say you've never even so much as cracked open a little wheelie on a public road? With all that power it's just too easy.

I'm an old &%$#@! and I don't see the big deal either.....This stuff is a far cry from things that make me angry. How about violence against the innocent, or robbery of the elderly? The guy is burning a tire for God's sake. I can't stand it when people try to run my life for me...and I don't try to run anyone else's life....(except when what they do affects me)!

It has nothing to do with PC.

Come out to CA and see how many riding land closures there are, canyon closures for street bikes on the weekends. Ranger/Police ticketing for no smog pumps/helmets/drunkeness/firearms/riding public roads without plates, etc, etc. The typical dirtbiker is a nice guy trying to have fun. That's what the burnout was, just having fun. But in a neighborhood, with families, not out in a desingated ride area. It DIRECTLY affects the image the general public has about motorcyclists, and what will vote for/against regarding motorcyclists. Every stupid act directly affects my ability to go riding where I want to.

You know what they say, act nice, and 3 people will talk about you. Act poorly, and 30 will. It's just selfish behavior that effects more than the person doing it. It has nothing to do with laws, or correctness. It has to do with public image.

You may not have these issues in your town yet, but you will. And you will wish all those guys doing wheelies down the streets would have taken it somewhere else.

Maybe the phrasing I used in my first email was not "PC" enough for you. Obviously I do not want anyone to die over such a thing, I just wanted to strike and emotional cord, to get my viewpoint read by as many as possible. And it worked. You can't honestly think I was serious about his death, so why would you take it so?

I thought you didn't want to be controlled by others, so why would you give bad gas for something you don't agree with?

THAT is the definition of PC my friend.

...and I still think all displays of "exhibtion" on motor vehicles, on public roads, should be a bike impounding offense, no matter what.

each person is entitled to there thoughts. one person thinks it fun and the other thinks it's dangerous and stupid. i burned up my tire before i changed it on the pavement in my driveway. my take if it's on his land he can do what he wants. just my .02

This makes the motorcycle world look bad. Also, I could do this with my sister's CRF150f. If you want to show off, do a wheelie or something (which isn't very hard either).
