Went to change my fork seals and discovered rust on inner side of right fork spring about midway down the spring. Anyone ever notice that before? I'm not quite sure how water/moisture might have gotten in there. Oil looked fine. Any ideas?:smirk:

I had similar on my WR. Small rust spots near the top of the spring, but no obvious contamination. Also, only on one of the springs and not both. Cleaned it up and put it back - didn't think it serious enough to start worrying. Will check again in a few months when I do the oil again.

My guess would be condensation. I haven't noticed any on mine before, but depending on severity of the pitting I wouldn't be too concerned.
