Hello wr owners!
Im about to buy a wr450f-07, coming from a yz250f-06..

If i look in manual it says
fork:0,459 kg/mm, shock 5,5 kg/mm

Race tech says
fork:0,460 kg/mm, shock 5,3 kg/mm

Mx-tech says
fork:0,460 kg/mm, shock 5,3 kg/mm

Eibach says
fork:0,470 kg/mm, shock 5,0 kg/mm

who is right?
A do recall someone measured the stock spring but can not find the post..

What springs would be right for me 90kg (200lb) without gear.
Fork and shock is stock -not revalved.

thanks Henric

I could never get a straight answer on this ether . I also weigh 200 and have a 07 wr450f . I put on the stock rear spring from a 06 Yz 450f because I got them cheap and it feels better . but just it is still bit soft. but not bad in the woods . just no big jumps abit too soft of that , but that is not what this bike is for anyway.

Thanks!
I`ve talked to 5 diffrent susp guys in Sweden and they all suggest diffrent springs for my 90 kg.

Mansson :0,47+5,7 http://www.motostar.se/fjadring.htm

Kumlins :0,48+5,8 http://www.factoryconnection.org/

Springzz: 0,46+5,5 http://www.springzz.com

Eklof suspension: 0,44/0,45+5,6 http://www.eklof-suspension.com/

Meijer suspension 0,469+5,5 http://www.mmtech.se (race-tech stuff)

I`ll try stock spring then try to figure out witch way to go:ride:

Springs tend to run in even numbers and you should go up to the next highest if you hit a recommendation that gives you an odd figure, hence .48 and 5.8...SC

will different valving affect the recomended spring rate?
ie, more compression damping + lighter spring

It can, that is why RaceTech's recommendations are notoriously light. They factor in adding their valving...SC

Does by the way the springs from a wr450f-07 fits in a yz250f-06 fork?
