Most of the guys in here would be scratching their heads about an Aussie pipe. I would go with the header and rejet. Whilst the price is right on a Staintune I much prefer a Yoshi or Procircuit. Rememnber they are all loud. The Staintune has a restrictor to pass noise tests but it chokes it.

Sheesh. LOSE bottom end? I found the opposite. The Staintune was a fantastic addition to the lil blue beast. With that and changing the main jet from 168 to 170, she flies, and pulls up hills like a demon!

Had some XR400 guys wanting a ride after seeing it pull up some hills.

Going the YZ timing this weekend as well as going to 172 jet, so will have to see how much difference that makes.

THANKS FOR YOUR INPUT WITH THE STAINTUNE SYSTEM I WILL BUYING THE COMPLETE SYSTEM. I HAVE ALL READY CHANGED THE PILOT JET TO 38 AND WILL BE TRYING THE 170 MAIN JET. HAVE ALSO PUT THE YZ250F 03' NEEDLE IN AND THAT MAKES IT A LITTLE MORE RESPONSIVE. WHAT OTHER BUDGET MODS HAVE YOU FOUND TO BE QUITE EFECTIVE.

The YZ timing and a 172 main made the midrange pull even stronger.
