I wanted to see if anyone has been running there yz with a wet sump kit. If so, how long, and have there been any dependability issues. Is it a worthwhile mod? How do you get the oil in the motor? I ride MX and trail. THANKS JimmyK

Could ask the KTM guys what they think of their wet sump, probably way down on the list of their problems though.
Personally I feel that the dry sump is better left as is (longer engine life).

One thing magazines and others seem to always leave out is that not only is the dry sump more reliable, it makes more power. The dry sump gets rid of excess oil that the crank would have to drag through in a wet sump, which costs power. It may only be measurable on a dyno in the case of our small engines, but never the less, it's there. As for the wet sump reliability, if you like to change your oil every one to two hours of riding time, go for it. If you can do that, you're fine. Otherwise, I'd stick with the dry sump. Besides, you'll gain 2 lbs. worth of mud after the first practice anyway.
