WR Commercial

Recommended Posts

You don't know what it's like. You don't have a clue. If you did you'll find yourself doing the same thing too! Break'in the law, break'in the law!

Judas Priest.

Sorry, after reading dugabrams reply that song is stuck in my head : )

BTW, I take no offence in someone wondering why I like a certain bike. It's all good as long as they don't badmouth me or my ride. I get a smile riding a 50cc scooter.

When I was 16 I met an older guy on a super custom hog. I was on my very stock Honda V35 Magna. I was drooling over his bike thinking "This guy is the man." When he walked back to his bike I looked up at him and said, "one day I'll get one of thoes, then I'll be a real biker." He replied, "look kid, all's it takes is two wheels and a set of handlebars, your all ready there."

I was right, that guy was the man!

How bout that WR commercial?

Everytime I take my plated WR450 on the road, it feels like I'm breaking the law, and I like it!

I have a new 06 crf 250x that I'm sending to christini to have their all wheel drive setup put on before I put My cr500 engine in it . to make a next generation dinosaur. I think It will be a fun bike to ride . even in more techinical areas .here's a link to their site . they don't do yamaha's just honda and ktm's .yamaha has their own all wheel drive setup .

this all started because I got my 07 wr450f to replace my old 1993 cr500. A long explination made short the wr is a nice bike but I really miss the power I feel like I'm riding a 250 not a 450 . so I decided to build two bikes 1 for mainly road use the wr supermoto with set of dirt rims to hit the dirt with whenever . the other an all out killer woods bike the mutt cr500 all because you can make one bike do it all .

Gentlemen, and you know who you are, I hope you've gotten the bickering out of your system regarding the oh-so-relevant WR vs. Harley debate. C'mon now! You're not even comparing apples and oranges, but rather apples and footballs. Harleys are beautiful bikes but they don't appeal to everyone. Same goes for the WR. The way I see it is if you bash one type of bike in favor of another one, you are simply a poseur. It's not about the bike, the chrome, the fastest, the loudest or the costume you wear. It's simply about the ride, be it on asphalt or on dirt, period. I've been on two wheels for going on 30 years, and at one point I was a poseur too...then I grew up. I ride with all sorts of people, on all sorts of bikes, and on all sorts of terrain. I make no distinction regarding their choice of equipment (look at my sig.) The only thing that matters is their attitude. I wave at everyone on two wheels be it a crotch rocket, a cruiser or a scooter. Why? Because I'm an enthusiast and appreciate being able to share my enthusiasm with fellow riders. It makes the experience that much richer and fulfilling. :applause:...SC

Like Mountain Bikers? ? I seem to remember somebody's rant about the yellow bellied sapsuckers (or something like that) a few years back... I think it was one of my first introductions into the world of TT and cyber-bitching... :applause:

:applause: Holy Shniekees Tweavman...I had no idea. looks kinda crazy as far as mechanicals go. As far as riding...good luck...I count on my front wheel being stable especially in turns. If it gets away from you while the back wheel is spunout....Holla. Thanks for the link. Good stuff to know.

I was think thinking about the front tire walking out in a turn , but if it's pawing too I would think it will help pull the front into the corner instead of stepping out , because of the angle of the tire it relation to bike , or at least that's what I'm thinking . I do think I'll have to adjust my riding style to make this bike work it's best . and if all else fails the setup does have a off switch . I know It's a bunch of money to spend but I'm thinking it will be like riding a mountian goat on crack with it's butt on fire. A pycho hillclimbing machine......call me weird But I like riding a bike that is so nasty it can spit me off at it's will.

ok - seeing as some of you folks enjoyed the ad so much, I have it on a DVD and can rip/upload a better quality version of it. If anyone is interested, I'll do it (my bandwidth here in the jungle is quite poor), otherwise not. Send me a PM to let me know or post response here. I've got all the part numbers for the Oz ADR kit (posted them a while back). Aftermarket, the prices are damn expensive. There was someone else here from Taiwan who claimed he made the kit - never did find out why he doesn't ship a load of them to the US :applause:

AWESOME response... me and my buddies always give eachother crap about our honda vs yamaha stuff and our thor vs fox stuff... but we all know when it comes down to riding it doesnt matter! you should see us cruising around kalamazoo when all of us are out... theres 2 wr250fs, a xr400, a yamaha 600 raiden, yamaha r1 and a custom harley all cruising together.

Digging up a old thread....oh well....

I pulled out my WR the other day from hibernation, drove down the street from my suburb (plated!)....pulled into a construction site and put a grin on my face ear to ear! I ended up finding a trail system which has been cut off from the public, and unless your off roading you'd never find it!

SO two blocks from my home, I can rip it up in peace, then ride to pick-up beer and head home!

The funny thing was...told DW I was going for a spin....she saw me putting on my mud pants and crappy jacket....when I came home she knew why...covered head to toe in fresh sloppy spring mud!....can't wait to leave work....for round 2!

I've had all bike's aswell....I traded my Suz 1500LC cruiser for this WR and haven't regretted at all! Harley's aren't for everybody....I go for more reliable bikes!.....just kidding......
