Hello all, New to this board, Read about all the modifications you can make to the WR. One problem, being in Canada, my WR came with the Exhaust tip welded in. Is an aftermarket exhaust the only solution or is there another solution for us Canadians. Just Asking???

I looked into that when I purchased mine this spring. You can cut and weld however, it can look bad if not done right and still costs money with relatively little gain in power. I would go for the Power-Q aftermarket. It is a little pricey but gives you more low and mid. You will require a little jetting afterwards. (These things can be problematic to jet). Some other mods I've done are to remove the air box lid (breaths better-less water resistant), YZF exhaust timing (more crisp low and mid), as well as the "Power Now" carburator attatchment. (go to worldpowerracing.com) This piece was exspensive ($150.00 canadian) by the time I got it. It did provide some noticeable difference in quick throttle response and low end. Overall best band for your buck would be the pipe mod and any of the free stuff. Don't worry about the "Grey Wire" issues you see in some of the postings here as our versions don't have that restriction or the throttle stop. Out of the box the Canadian version rocks compared to the US ones. Even the pipe weighs less and is less restrictive stock.

Hey Kent, Thanks for the info. Is this power now product really worth the $150. I do a lot of trail riding, mostly technical stuff. Thank Phil
