Don't You Hate it When Your Rubbers Wear Out?

Recommended Posts

All sexual humor aside, I'm looking for some new tires to stick on my stock '04 XRL rims. I use the bike almost totally for street use (unfortunately), so I am mainly concerned with having something long lasting with a mostly street oriented tread pattern. If it could handle an occasional fire road blast, that would be even better. Thanks for the input!

I have the Pirelli Scorpion A/T 90 and like them a lot. Great on the road and decent on fire roads. Motorcycle superstore seems to have the best prices.

Motorcycle Superstore

Those are exactly the style I was looking for! Is there any chance they sell a 21 inch front version though? I couldn't seem to find it anywhere. Thanks

EDIT: I just found some. Thanks for the help. Does anyone have more input?

i got about 100 miles on my MT90's. overall im happy with them, but theres small chunks that have been peeling of the rear tire? i'm not sure if this is normal wear for these tires.

What size rear are you running?

front- 90/90S/21

rear- 120/80S/18

Thanks Dave. I'm going to go with a 140 unless I hear someone say different. I'd really like to run the 150 and I'm hoping someone else will have tried it first. I'll let you guys know how I make out. I'll post some pics when I get them mounted.

If you're doing most of your riding on the road, why would you run knobs?:banghead:

Distanzias rock. They can hang off road (fire roads and grass) and stick damn near as good as my buddies 17s on the slab. AND you can get them from the TT store.?
