bring my fork tubes up

Many companies make taller risers, but I don't think you will find any that are 2 inches taller. At that height they would bend too easily. Why are you lowering the front so much? It won't handle well like that at all.

The first problem you'll run into once you get clearance on the bars is that there is no place that far down on the outer fork tube to clamp the clamp.

However far you lower the front, you need to lower the rear by an amount no more than 10mm less than the front, or as 642MX points out, you will loose your straight line stability in the rough.

i guess i dident say that im im lowering the bike for ICE RACING, so i was just thinking of a easy way to lower my front down, im not sticking in the turns as good as i should so i need to bring the bike down lower

i am lowering the back too

also do that make any bar risers that would just move the bars back so the forks can just slide right in front of it...

For ice racing, flat track, and that sort of thing, a better approach is too shorten the forks internally by using a pair of cut down springs. Shortening the springs will increase their spring rate some, so you may want to use a slightly softer set to start with. For this kind of racing, the front will push less with a steeper head angle, so you would want to lower the front perhaps an inch more than the rear, and then trim the handling from there with the rear height adjustment.

Actually, with an '06, the forks can be shortened with a custom pair of spring spacers that are shorter that stock. You'll have to build them, but you replace item 19 below with a shorter version of itself.

so gary your saying if i get another set of springs ( front and back) and then cut them to the hight i want then it will lower the bike with out any problems?

now i do have another set of springs for this bike, i have the stock Ti spring and the stock front springs.. BUT since i really dont want to cut up my Ti spring would it be ok to use my stock 2004 yz 250F spring instead?

You don't have to mess with the rear spring except to back off the adjuster nut until the bike is low enough. 3/4" at the rear spring is about 2.25" at the rear wheel.

ok ill do that with the shock and then ill take my stock springs and cut them down..

BTW i dident look in the book yet but how hard is it to take the springs out of the front forks
