i was wondering if you guys know what they coat the stator and clutch cover with on the xr650r motors?? i believe they are magnesium but mine is all scratched from shifting and i want to make it new again. im sure i could go down and get some paint matched but that wont last long. my other option is do ceramic coat them and never have to worry about them getting scratched again, although trying to find a ceramic similar to that brown color may not be possible.

i've also been considering re-coating mine, thought black would look ok.

Yeah they do make black and red ceramic but I may try the chrome or silver instead
