Longer compression release cable?

I put a handlebar riser kit on my 2000 XR650R and noticed that the decompressor cable is now not long enough. When I turn the bars too far in one direction the motor will stall or make a tapping noise.

What is the proper fix for this?

Yeah mine did it too i just slackened the cable off and angled the decompressor a bit to help.
