Well im just about to rebuild the top end...wondering how i could check to see how my valves are and if theres nething else i should check for while the cylinder is off. Also any suggestions on what type of piston n rings i should buy for my 1998 Yz400f?

Thanks for anyones response on any tips that may help me through my top end rebuild.

I have a 98 as well. When I did my first top end I used a Wiseco piston and ring set. No problems at all since using them. You allways want to change out the timing chain as a percaution. Good luck.
