I'm thinking of getting an '07 wr450. I live and ride between 9000 and 12,000 feet. does anyone know of a good set up for this bike for this type of altitude. My current bike a '06 Husaburg 450e runs great but I bought it here and it was already set up. thanks

I have an 06 WR450 and ride at those altitudes (montrose colorado into the San Juans). PM me for settings that might be comparable or go look in the YZF forum for jetting suggestions.

Here is what other people are running at various altitudes.

I took my '07 WR 450 to ride the Colorado 500 last year and was amazed at the horsepower loss at those elevations! It was like riding a 250 4-stroke.
I had to fiddle with the jetting several times while out there to get it close. Never got it spot on, however, as the altitude varied from 6000 ft to 14,000.
Although the scenery and riding was great, the altitude was a pain in the a$$
