I'm not sure if this helps, but since you're not getting much feedback I'll throw this in for what it's worth. I have a Q2 on a 2006 YZ450. When I first put it on it was a disappoinment, a loss of low end power. Then I put on a power bomb header and rejetted. It is now at least as fast as the stock pipe was and is a lot quieter. I actually race with this combination in Vet Novice class and it's plenty fast for that type of racing. I've had this setup for over a year now and it's holding up just fine.

I appreciate the feedback. I've been riding MX tracks with the stock pipe and

It's all good. I did get the Q4 but it's been sitting in the garage collecting dust LOL:crazy:

I have a Q4 on my '06. Love the pipe, worked well with the stock header and works great with a Powerbomb. It does have a removable spark screen. The only bad thing about the design is the aluminum collar that joins the header to the mid poipe. It gets too hot and bonds to the mid and head pipes making it really difficult to remove easily. It also almost always ruins the collar and unless you happen to have a spare you're SOL as far as putting it back together. I had a stock clamp welded to the end of the midpipe making it a breeze to work on and get apart.

I should get in today a power core ti with the optional quiet insert that I am going to run with a power bomb. I went that route rather than the Q just so I will have the option of removing the insert and or the spark arrestor. It will be going on my 08 yz450f. I hope it works out.

I know a lot of folks are turned off by the cost of the Mega Bomb but it made BIG difference on the bottom end power of both of my 450's after putting on quiet mufflers.

My '03 WR450 has the Titanium Q with Mega Bomb and my '06 YZ450 has a Ti-Q4 w/MB header.

E-line makes a guard to fit the MB header.

Is it the cost of the MB or the fact that it's made out of titanium?

The cost, due to the fact its made from Ti.

There is about $100 difference between the Ti & SS powerbomb. I imagine this would probably be the case if they made a SS megabomb.

Call or send an email to FMF telling them that.

I myself would prefer a MB header made from stainless steel (and a little heavier gauge material as well) because the titanium MB isn't going to take much abuse from rocks or debris.

FMF is now making both a SS and Ti mega-bomb. On their website it still says Ti only but if you bring up the application of your bike it then shows options for both.

We are involved in lots of land use battles up here and I really need to put my money where my mouth is so to speak, so I ordered what I think is going to be the quietest system possible...FMF Q4 and mega-bomb header.

Oddly enough, the SS mega-bomb is already on back order so I guess I will have to run the Q4 with my stock header until it ships.

Anybody have jetting hints for the Q4 and mega-bomb? I have heard that I will need to go a size richer on the pilot and one or two richer on the main but I would like some first hand knowledge if its out there.
