I recently started searching for some new plastics for my bike. I have a CRF 450 and decided to go with the Acerbis White ones. I went to thumpertalk and saw that they didnt have any listed on their catalog. So I went to RockyMountain and they are out of stock. Then lastly I went to ebay to see if they had any which they did. I didnot order these because i had a couple of gift certificates that i need to use. I called RockyMountain and they said that they will not get any until the end of the month. So I call Thumpertalk to see if they had any and it was just not listed in there store. THe lady I spoke to said that they were no longer making these anymore.

So my question is what gives? Does Acerbis make these any more? Was I just misinformed?

On another side not who makes some good plastics? I tried UFO and it seems that the number plastics pop out if there is any pressure applied on them. It gets very annoying during a race.

Did you try motosport.com? I was checking on some 250 white plastics and they said they would be getting a bunch of plastics in this week.

05-06 are backordered until April (per Acerbis).

07+ kits ARE available (9)

I wasn't on the phone, but if you misinformed, it wasn't intentional. Sometimes we get different info, depending upon whom we speak to at the mfg. Who knows for sure. But, this is what I came up with.

It is for an 05. Any thoughts on why they are backed up so bad? I was just trying to figure out if they stopped making them as that is what the lady told me. Any suggestions on other plastics?

My guess is low demand. Plastics have to be done in lots of 100+ kits to make sense, so they are likely waiting for backroders to stack up before they pull the trigger.

I'm assuming your bike is an R model. I'll see if there is anything else we can do for you. If it's available, we'll get it for you.

With rreading the forum on Acerbis I am a little confused. I thought that the Acerbis plastics are top of the line. If they arent what would yall recomend?

Never had white Acerbis, but had black on my 04 CRF450R. Fit was excellent. Not as glossy as stock, but graphics covered much of it and after a few rides it's scuffed and scratched. It's not OEM good, but I can't say I had any real problems with it. I'd say 9 out of 10 on fit and 6-7 on finish. But, I think white is less problematic than black.

I have used UFO in white and thought it was good, but the back fender was a little crooked.

Wait one more question. I have just bought Argyle graphics. What do yall think would look better on my bike with these graphics. Black or White?
