The police call me last night they found my bike,no it was not at a goldplating shop:p , but it was found in the hood ,after the tranny broke in pieces, they just left it there.Cost $170.00 for the recovery Co. and now the tranny....just wish i could catch the guy but wont happen,so i guess i should be happy that they did not dump it in the river.
Got it stolen last sunday so they abused it for 4 days....will see how the engine react after the tranny is fix.

dang, thats rough, you are taking that better than I would be taking it. I"d be flipping. To buy a bike, maintain it, care for it, and have some jackass steal it and break it isn't my idea of how things should be. The person that stole it should atleast have their spine shattered or something.

Glad you got your bike back. Yeah, it stinks that some idiot(s) thrashed it, and it will set you back some $$, but it's good knowing YOUR stuff is back in YOUR garage.

On a side note, this kind of theft happens everywhere. Around here, the local police matter-of-factly call these jerks, "the Stupids".

Why? They risk a police record, they risk getting their a$$es kicked, they risk personal injury (do you think any of these idiots wear protective gear?), all for one or two nights of, essentially, wrecking things. They don't even try to capitalize on the stolen goods.

So the police KNOW they will eventually catch "the Stupids", because when you think about it, what they are doing is amazingly asinine, and sooner or later, their stupidity will catch up with them. :busted:

** Short, true story: The local "Stupids" broke into one of those little cinder-block buildings that sits at the base of the local water tower. They made a mess of the place, broke some stuff, then left.

The pivotal factor was that they did this less than a month after Sept. 11, 2001, when every law enforcement agency was on high-alert for any sort of "terrorist" activity -- like messing with the public water supply!

The FBI was called in, a helicopter was sent up, tracking dogs were let loose, and swarms of various officers followed the trail to the local trailer park (no joke).

They apprehended three punks, and treated them to the full "potential terrorist" welcoming party -- intense interrogation, cavity searches, all bank accounts impounded (including their parents), "enthusiastic" property searches, the whole ball of wax.

They were eventually set free, after paying for the minor damage they had done, but I can't think of a better way for a "Stupid" to get an education.

Well if they stole it in the first place I doubt they have much brain cells to work with.

Well, to split the case, you need to remove the top end anyway, so plan on new rings, inspect everything else. Now is a good time to install the 4th gear shift drum, make it into a 4 speed. Heck, as long as your in there...

why bother with the clutch when you just stole the thing.......they beat the bejesus out of it on purpose......they probably beat on it just to see how long it would take to break it.....
