Good for them!
On the other hand, you have Honda, who supports the Sierra Club.

yeah, that sure beats honda. If I knew honda was going to be like they are, I'd have a yz125.

I agree with you for sure.
However, I don't necessarily see the term "environmentalist" as bad. There is nothing wrong with reasonable measures to be a good steward of the planet and its resources. It's when environmentalism turns radical, where just about any use of the land is deemed as bad, so we should lock it up from from all human uses.
I'm an evironmentalist from the standpoint of recycling, staying on the marked trails and trying to leave the riding area with even a little more than I brought it (picking up any trash, keeping my bike quiet, etc...).
I think this would be consistent with Yamaha's defination of "responsible". I'm NOT saying you're not a good steward, wrong, or anything along those lines. Just my personal point of view and clarification.
I hope this program bears some fruit. Thx Yamaheehaw!

I do know that Honda was removed from their list of sponsors in the last few months:

I hope it's because they saw the conflict with the enthusist, its cost and decide that wasn't a road to go down again. Unfortunately, they never would give me an offical statement on the subject, having called their PR department a number of times.

I'd give you gas, but it'd make you even more conceited. Heck you already act like you own the place. ;)

Good for Yamaha. They should all step up in a multi-brand awarness and funding effort.
