I know the box says put the seat on and it will conform with your bike, but id like to see it shrink an inch in length and wide by at least half and inch lol i mean come on this is insane! I thought they had pretty good seats from what i've heard I dunno but it sure doesnt fit my 07 kx 250f:thumbsdn:

I've heard they don't fit a lot of the times and that they are real hard. Give you monkey butt. I went with stock seat and guts step and cover. love it.

I've got a SDG tall seat on my bike. Compared to oem Honda it's not as exact of fit. The foam is firmer but dosen't seem to break down. The cover is very durable and offers good grip. The cost is good and it bolted right up. I like it. I'm sorry yours is not good.

I like the quality of the SDG seats, however I've also had some fit issues. The ones I've purchased for my Yamahas, and an 04 KX 250f have fit fine, but I had to modify my CR's gas tank bolt thing(?) to get it to fit.

I just picked one up for my RMZ and it fits horrribly. I dont mind if it doesnt fit perfect, but this one is just to far out of whack... It bolts up but I can see air under the tank and the rear end is raised off the fender and side panels 1/2-3/4 of an inch. I cant help but think its some kind of manufacturing flaw because there is no way they could have designed them like this.

Anybody know their return policies? I bought it at a retailer, does SDG make it easy for the retailer to not give me a problem taking it back?

I had one on my old 426 and it was great. I guess it varies from bike to bike.

Fit was an issue with mine, 05 CRF450. Went back to a stock that I modified to a step seat. It was just not right, hard to explain. I modified the rear mounts to get it lower to the fender. It still went on weird but it did fit.

I bought one at 50% off at Motosport Outlet for my 01 cr250 and the fit is not so good - it works but takes time to get it on every time, doesn't line up too well and has a bit of ripples in materials.

I have an SDG seat and it gives my monkey butt every time I ride. I think the seat is way too hard. Does anybody want to trade my seat for a softer stock one.

I have a SDG seat for a 99 YZ400F and I dont like it.

EXACTLY my experience with two of them. Good seat but the initial fit is never as good as stock. Beats me why this can't get that part right since all they need to do is copy the stock dimensions.

They eventually stretch enough so they fit properly.

I have two sdg seats one is on my RMZ450 and the other is on my wifes YZ250F. These two seats have been really good and I would highly recommend them. I did buy one for my 08 YZ450F and had some problems with it being way too hard. I called SDG and they said to send it back and they would replace it. Their rep told me that sometimes the foam at the end of a roll is too hard or too soft. I will keep everyone informed how it all turned out when I get the seat back and the snow clears off again so I can ride (theres about a foot of snow here in Montana).

Got a tall one on my bike and absolutely love it. Bolted right up, no problems. Sorry to hear about your bad luck.

Bought one for my 05' YZ 250 and it fit perfectly. The problem is, its no better comfort wise than my stock seat. I was warned that it wouldnt be, but I bought one anyways.

Ended up giving it to my brother for Christmas for his YZ. He hates it too.

I've got a tall SDG on my KTM. Fits perfect, shape is perfect, foam is too hard. Its softened a tiny bit in the two years I've had it but not nearly enough. Guts is the way to go, IMO.

SDG seats do not fit the CRF well at all. I had to make heavy modifications to the hook that goes under the subframe to make mine work adequately. It still looked like crap so I put the SDG foam and cover on my OEM Honda seat base and that worked very well.
