okay, so about a month or two ago I read some things about using a piece of PVC to put between the front fender and the front tire. I made one of these for my xr100, but it was out of wood because there isn't much travel. So I have plenty of PVC for the 125. How long do you suggest cutting the pvc?

Make it so that when you put the PVC between the fender and tire, it just barely fits. that way, when you tie the bike down, all the load is on the tire, and hardly any on the forks, Make Sense?
