If you take your seat in to an upholstery shop, they can build your seat to whatever size or shape you want. I had my seat made into a wide-a$$ at the back for fire road trips (10" wide), and tapers at the front for trail riding. Sort or pear shaped, now all my buddies want to get theirs done. I have the stock seat foam and cover at home still.

Got any pics? :prof:

All the pics that i have don't really show the seat, and my wife has our camera right now. I will see what i can come up with over the next couple of days. The posting rules listed below where i am writing to the left say i may not post attachments..... how do people attach pics?

I went to the pics and video section and found this sticky:

It's not actually attaching a pic, but rather linking to a pic you have uploaded to another site, a photo site.

I shaved about 1" off the seat on my 07 WR450 using an electric carving knife. Worked great.

I'm 5'6" and was never taller. Ya just learn to ride what ya got!

Now I can go between "enduro mode" or " Adventure Bike mode" and do some long distance touring or take it off for the tough sections

you almost got it .... use the "insert image" button, second from the right, (not the "insert link" button) and maybe pick a smaller image size to fit better here on TT

it looks like you're having fun ...... oh yeah!

I live in Williams Lake B.C.. Here is a picture from last year when i did a solo trip down to Bella Coola spring salmon fishing. I am 'loaded up' and heading for home, with two (28 and 30 lb.) salmon aboard. http://i291.photobuc...02/DSCN1861.jpg

It was meant for a road bike, (made by Road King i think) but with the help of my trusty Dremmel Tool, i made it into this. It works well for longer sitting down trips, but can push the air directly into your face depending on your height. I broke it in half when i tried jumping off the bank back onto the road one day, but fixed it with a piece of tin and some rivets.
