I agree. 597, if you really run your chain that tight you will soon be writing in about a broken rear hub. Based on your name I assume your last bike was a Honda. The YZs need more chain slack than a Honda.

Not an 08 but a new 07. Just finished setting it up and breaking it in. Racing her for the first time Sunday. Can’t wait.

I agree. 597, if you really run your chain that tight you will soon be writing in about a broken rear hub. Based on your name I assume your last bike was a Honda. The YZs need more chain slack than a Honda.

The bike in the earlier post was a quick put together for the photo.
Yep and you are right, i have had Yamahas since the year 2000, except for 2005
when i bought a 2005 honda CRF450. The Yamahas are great bikes.:banghead:

well they make it a pain to get the shrouds on, lots of trimming. but i did notice they make them ALOT stronger, so depends on what the added protection is worth to you. if you dont mind a little trimming and patience lining them up they are good.

Try Unabiker, fit like a glove and strong as hell. Plus they look good in anodized colors.

Added a Dr. D hour meter (4.5 hours) and FMF 4.1 Ti System (added last night and haven't had a chance to ride it in the dirt yet).
