Sorry it took so long to answer your question. First off, unfortunetly there is no way to stop the nose dive. But from the looks of it it doesn't bother you much anymore. Great pics:thumbsup: . As for your question about the nac, I wouldn't try it yet... If you get hung up it's hard to land a nacnac without crashing. There are other tricks that are safer and will give you more of a trick base. First would be a fender kiss, this will also help with increasing bike controle. Next would be an ancle hook.

It's just as safe as a no footer and is the base for a cliffhanger, cordova, and stripper.

Next trick I would suggest would be a heelclicker. Hear me out on this... They are safer then a can or nac because you are still in the center of the bike should you land like that.  I've mentioned before about tieing the bike down in the back of a truck or trailer and stand on the pegs, jump off the pegs and try to do a heelclicker.

It will stretch you out and give you the feel of what it will feel like. And at any point if you feel uncomfortable you can just bring your feet back to the pegs. Plus once you learn it you'll have more confedence to do other tricks. If you would rather stay with 1 foot tricks for a little while I'd start off with a cancan, it is pretty easy to land a can can.

Good luck and be safe, if you need more "in depth" as in body position ect pm me.

im riding on an 05 CRF230...would love for a CRF250X or WR250F but i have no money lol.. o well its a great bike and certainly a step up from my XR200 i learned to do no footers on!

If you want to progress in fmx or even racing, don't make your next bike a trail bike..... besides, they aren't nearly as fun. :bonk:

I'm 28 years old , I'm 5'7 and weigh 145 ( and I weight train like a mofo)... Most fmx riders are around our size. If you like 4 strokes go with it. I don't like them as much for jumping ramps but to each his own. As far as your suspention there are so many good aftermarket company's that can set it up as close as it can get to mx suspention, I suggest BBR for XR/ CRF trail bikes. I can't give you a 100% answer on why you "float" away from your bike because I can't realy see your take off. But try this. Don't take your hands and feet off at the same time. Start by doing the no fter and then take your hand off, as you do slightly lean your upper body forward pause slightly before you take the hand off the bar, this should keep the bike a little more level and keep your body closer to the bike.

I'll see if I can upload a vid.
Same thing goes 4 a nothing, this pic is off of a small jump, no ft first, then hands off.

Oh... it's just that you had said 250X earlier so I got confused.

BTW, I'm about 5'8" and only 125lbs, but I can throw around my 450 pretty good.

If you ever save up enough money get yourself a 250f , it's a fun bike all around. :bonk:

I don't think you're gonna be able to do anything about the nose dive, just be ready for it, and if you're gonna take your hands off, you MUST make sure that you do this mid-flight, NOT off of the takeoff.   :bonk:

Otherwise, you could end up like I did, with a concussion and and about 15 stitches in your head. :bonk:

hey teamjackass.
i had a 230 also and i traded it for a ktm 250sx. the bike is perfect for woods riding. i hated two stroke till this and now i love it. if you give it a try i think you'll love it. and it lands alot softer then the 230 ever did.

but thats just me. you have your own way of going about this

I'm 6'4" and love doing tricks.....I use CR high bars....heelclickers are easy but alot of people can't "click". I find if you "drop" the bars(hands further down between legs)down further you can "click" easier. I learned to do can cans by doing side saddle landers first on small jumps.

I have a question : Is there any difference between standing and sitting on the bike before we leave the ramp ? And the harder we compress the rear suspension, the higher the bike will be, is that true ?

I've been riding four strokes for a while, started on a two stroke 80 when I was like 11 then a CRF150F and now a 250X and I have always loved jumping above all else. The best trick I can do is probably my nothing all though I am starting to work on supermans but I can't seem to get my feet above the fender... anyways thats not my question, my question is *** is this nose diving you guys are talking about? I have never had that problem at all.
