Hello all, new to TT and my first post. Been lurking here for a few months and telling my wife that I need to get back into riding. I thought everything that I had said these past months had been totally ignored ( you married guys know what I mean). My wife tells me to stop by her office, said she needed me to look a something. I walk in and there is a new 08' WR450F setting there. I could'nt believe it. You think after 35 yrs of marrige a guy would have their wife figured out, but NO they show you that you don't have a clue. Just had to share. Already looking at the mod's. :banghead:

You Congratulations, we got quads and bikes for Christmas too (XR650R, CRF70, Polaris Sportsman). I'll bet you can't wait for the temps to start coing back up again. You need to get some pictures of that thing posted.

OMG MAN! Does your wife have a single sister? Congrats on the 08. You will have nothing but fun from here on out big guy. This is the begining of the rest of your riding life. I just love my 05 WR and maybe looking to trade her in for the 08?:banghead:

That's excellent. I was lucky in the same regard when my wife suggested I go ride a friend's KX450 about a year ago. I already had a Harley and an FZR600 in the garage, so I wasn't even going to go there. Well, I rode the guy's bike, got totally hooked on dirt again (like I told her I would) and got an 07 a few wks later (and a PW50 for my 4 yr old). It has been a blast and the WR is a great bike - you're gonna love it and the mods are easy. Good for you - a cool wife and a new bike! :banghead:

You will be grinning from ear to ear soon! I hope the snow doesn't delay the fun factor. Mine sat in the cold garage for two months except for the occasional neighborhood buzz when it was slushy enough!:banghead:

Wow - nice! Congrats...really helps to have the wife's support - when you need to take those long riding trips, and you need a rig to haul and camp in, etc. Tell her to keep the checkbook open - the bike's only the beginning, but don't we love it! Enjoy!

Our minds never stray to far from the gutter around here....... I found myself thinking as I read the original post.. "WOW! The only way that can get better is if she was sitting on the new bike in lingerie when you walked into her office":busted:

Congrats...... I agree with resinlips, treat her right (whatever that means):banghead:

Thanks for all the replies, looks like I will be spending some time here. A little cold and snowy here for riding, 18 degrees and 6-8" on the ground. This will give me time to get the bike setup the way I like. Have been riding and involved in bikes, early 70's motocross and later enduro's, since 1968 but due to other activities (rock crawling with my modified Jeep) these last few years, just didn't have the time. I'm ready for this to change. Looks like I need to get busy at the TT store and get some things ordered. :banghead: Thanks for the kind welcome, unlike some of the 4-wheel sites. Robert ps, the WR is my first 4-stroke, but I know I am going to like it!!
