scotts damper oil fill mount

You sure? On an L or an R? I have an L with a Scotts damper and upper clamp and the tower does not mount to the oil filler.

I have the BRP tower forward mount, the oil check is fine, there is a gap cnc'd to account for this.Works great...........

Completely, especially with a big tank. I have the setup on my xr4 and it's far from optimum. You'll have to carry your dipstick separate, as the mount replaces it.

Either get the forward mount or make up your mind to install an oil sight tube.

I haven't heard "complaints" about the scotts products (although I'm sure someone in this forum will complain)

I've got that mount on a '99 yz 400f that I'vd gncc'd and harescrambled mucho. It works great everywhere on that bike.

What triple-clamp is that? I def want my bark busters to mount like yours do...

I think you could just buy a new pivot arm and the forward pin mount and not have to replace your clamp setup....

WELL i do know what your talking about now since you can explain it a little better and not some oil fill mount thing:bonk: , there isnt a dampner in the world that mounts to your oil fill so be a little more clear next time and ask about someone having a rear mount or front mount, and if they have the rear how much it restricts getting to your dipstick!!!!!!!

ive seen a front mount pic on here also, dont remember who but it was several months back as i was asking about some pics myself. Front mount is nice too

:D :D the damper doesnt mount to the oil fill bung, the stem does. so essentially its a rear mount but the stem is on the oil fill bung not the head tube.

go to the scotts site, click on pictures-honda-xr650r then go through them and you will see what i'm talking about

From a "function" stand point, the forward mount seems the best set up. (ease of oil checks, on the fly adjustments, etc.) This is the one I am considering for the XRR. But from a "performance" stand point, I wonder if any of the mount options allow the stabilizer to perform better? Can anyone out there answer this question?
