I went up yesterday to see how bad it might be. And I was surprised to find it doesnt look to bad. Driving up meadow lake you wouldnt even know there was a wind storm. There wasnt any sign of a wind storm till up past happy ass on ginger. But up on top of boundry in the thinned area the trees came down on a trail that was just cut open from last winters wind storm. I had to cut through about 5 trees going down boundry rd. But the trails in the protected trees and in the lower areas look like they will be fine other than lots of limb debris. From the small loop I did down boundry and down to the east fork bridge and back up to ginger it looks like the ridges where the trees have been thinned might have problems, other than that might not be to bad. I dont get the thinning out on the ridges, they might as well clear cut it cause the wind just knocks the trees down anyway. And then the trees just go to waste. Anyway looks like this weekend will be a good ride weekend with some trail cleaning.
I just cut this trail about 2 months ago and now it looks like this,
