With this latest storm, and the picture of Sand hill road washed out its obvious we will need to step up with some trail work to get our riding areas open for use again.
This year we started the volunteer trail worker program. I have posted several times here about it.Here is how it works:
Send me your email address.
I will coordinarte with the Clubs for trail work party dates, and send out an Email notification.
If you get an email about trail work going on plan to come out and give 4 hours work.
With help from our new sponsors Franz Bakery and Wired energy drinks, The NMA will provide Free Coffee and Pastries to start the day, and a Free Hot dog lunch and Free Wired Energy Drinks.
email to: pokerruns@nmaoffroad.org RE: Volunteer trail work, to get on the trail worker email list.

If you go out and do trail work on your own, BE SURE to contact one of the NMA charter clubs and log your hours with them. By giving clubs credit for work hours it helps them get the hours they need to get a use permit from the DNR so they can hold an off road event.

Some DNR regions also use volunteer labor stats as matching funds when applying for NOVA and NRTP grants.

Why not 3 hotdogs, you're a growing boy. How have you been Steve, haven't talked to you in a while.

Please get your name on the Volunteer trail worker email list. We deperately need your help now, more than ever.

Email me at pokerruns@nmaoffroad.org Re: Volunteer Trail work

Besides the damage at Tahuya, there will be a lot work needed at Capitol Forest.

I am looking to the Clubs, or the DNR, to schedule work paty dates and I will send out an email notice as soon as they give the word.
