Belfair may be out of commission for a while. Looks like it's time to get the work tools out and put in some trail maintenance hours (weeks).

I bet it has a lot to do with the fact that there is very little real clay / soil there and it is mostly unstable rock / sand. Amazing the power of water.

Is that where Sand Hill Rd. comes down by the highway going to Belfair? I know that Belfair State Park is completely underwater right now. I guess there will be no access to Belfair for a while, I would think. Anybody know of another way to get there? Not that I'm going there anytime soon.

I travel quite a bit for work, but if I'm in town I'll help out. There's no telling when they'll even start letting people back in the area.

According to the news, that whole area is isolated. A Coast Guard helicopter tried to get in to evac a pregnant woman, but had no luck. Last time I heard a truck full of EMTs made it in, but no word about the woman. Think she'll name the baby Noah if it's a boy?:goofy:

Sand Hill road turns into Gold Creek Rd which connects back to the Seabeck Holly Road which runs back to either bremerton/silverdale/seabeck/hood canal/etc.

Looks like we will have a new trail! Gold Creek Rd which connects up with Holly Rd is washed out, probably will be months before it is repaired. But there is another way, you can go down through Dewatto and come up from Holly and then you will hook up on Seabeck Holly Rd.
