IMO, Mike is all hype, he thinks that he is better than he really is, do not get me wrong, he can out ride me anyday and he is very talented, but stands no chance against reed or stewart. the one person who all riders should be like is Kevin Windam. He just goes out and rides to the best of his abilities, and is not cocky about it. And if he does not win, oh well, try better next time. and at least he doesn't run over other riders. jk.

As Mike has gotten older I kind of like him:thumbsup:

If I had that kind of tallent and money in my teens I would be the biggest dick ever, but he has grown out of it and seems to appreciate what he has and the legends he was/is racing against.

The key to life is learning from your mistakes, and being a better person than you were yesterday.......But everyone wants to remember him as he was a couple years ago:excuseme: (man I sound old)

He has plenty of tallent and we all could only hope he makes it up to battle with Reed (Stewart will be out front) or it will be one boring season.:thumbsdn:

I think it would be bad for KTM if Alessi was alot faster on the Suzuki.

I don't agree with that logic. Being a teen, people are going to look down on you as a punk to begin with. There's no reason to show them they are right. Look at villopoto; from what I've seen, he seems pretty mature.

i agree completely. i think that he definetely proved himself last year in nationals. he got top 5 almost every race. i was very impressed. with the right training and support(and with the fact that he's losing his cocky attitude), he'll be on the podium a lot more. idk about supercross though... but maybe the reason i'm backing him up is cause hes my favorite rider....

and whaaaatttttttttttt, since when did he go to zook? i thought him and his brother went to red. i'm kinda dissapointed, but oh well, team suzuki is a very strong team...

I agree, however Alessi smoke K-dub a bunch of times this year. Whether any of the pro's admit it or not, they lose their speed when they get a family. Racing is no longer #1. Even RC said it caught up with him.

my 2c.

I have nothing against any of the riders. I just like to see good battles and I'm guessing Alessi will be close indoors, and make it VERY interesting outdoors.

You can't compare RC's situation with K-dubs. RC was pursuing another career while keeping up with his current one and brand new twins. Training for 2 sports and still be at the top of one, is alot harder than cruising around a nat'l in 8th.

All I have to say is the kid will be alright as long as he doesn't turn out like his old man.

Quote: "There's no bog on the bottom end at all." (because of the EFI)

Like that's exclusive to EFI? i have a hard time believing that his carberated KTM or any factory bike has a problem with bogging. :excuseme:

The only one that is going to beat Stewart is going to be Villipoto.. Alessi has matured but he doesnt have any 125/lites class championships. It seems like Villipoto got all the wins and Alessi was sidelined crying when they raced in the same class. Stewart could get back on a KX 125 and still whoop Alessi.

It sounds like Suzuki payed him for every time he said that the bike had no bog:bonk:

Those factory bikes with carbs are tuned so crisp, EFI has no advantage over a tuned factory bike (except for maybe at high elevation).

100% right. I didn't mean it to come across that K-dub and RC are similar in their situations, just that they both have "let up" a little since having kids, as we all have. I can't imagine how busy a pro's life is, let alone one who is also pursuing another career!
